I first played TotK on the OG Switch for about 50 hours. This was only enough to complete 2 main dungeons and probably 10% of the available side quests. Although the story and characters are rather lacking for a Zelda game (BoTW had the same issue IMO), the gameplay loops, ambience, and creativity offered by the Zonai devices is pretty special. The Switch 2 edition of the game makes the experience buttery sexy smooth and clean. I got way more enjoyment playing this over Mario Kart World when the Switch 2 first launched.

The OG Switch Edition of this game was practically unplayable and I did not enjoy it. On Switch 2 however, I found the experience quite addictive and enjoyable. I genuinely enjoyed traversing through the open world and discovering new pokemon. I also found it deeply enjoyable to constantly be swapping pokemon in and out of my party given how forgiving the EXP sharing is between your party members; I never had any issues training up new pokemon to be able to enter the fray.
